The Institute was upgraded in 1986 with a new rear extension, so perhaps that’s been its saving grace.
The Courtaulds Institute of Bio-Chemistry was an annexe belonging to the former Middlesex hospital in Mortimer Street. All it’s former health services have now transferred to University College Hospital.
