Its all about….

Re-adjusting one’s sense of reality!

Nah. Just joking! (Although some people must think I need my sense of reality adjusted LOL!)

A London Blog has a strong local focus on London. It’s about the city’s history, transport, happenings and curiosities. And sometimes features places that aren’t even London.

Why is it called ALondonBlog? Good question! I dont have the answer 🙂

Actually the domain is 1londonblog.uk and originally the blog was known by that name too. I replaced the 1 with A. Does it matter? Well not really….!

Both are just names (that highly fictionalised description we love to give to things or people.) In fact there is no real essence to a name, so ‘1st’ or ‘A’ could be last, perhaps somewhere in the middle, at the beginning, well before the beginning (such as the force fields that existed before the big bang), in a queue, or not in a queue, or absolutely nowhere. In my view its just a domain name that exists at some level or other – real or otherwise – and whatever non-existent worlds may exist in the corridors of the human mind.

Generally posts are published thrice weekly, though its not a hard and fast rule as there have been occasions when I’ve published more often – and then not done anything for a few days because:

  1. I’m lazy, contrived and hyper-procrastinating.
  2. I’m too busy plotting the downfall of other blogs.
  3. I need more information, facts, or a specific historic image.
  4. I spend hours with my finger on the delete button saying ‘fuck this shit!’

Generally I think you’ll find #item three above is the closest representation of reality 🙂

The true proof of my abilities:

I am somehow managing to complete a successful orbit of the Sun each annum. That’s the one stupendously real achievement I am attaining in my life 🙂

Very important note:

I’m an autistic person who is deafened, non-verbal & acts, even walks rather clumsily (as some will attest.) Well there’s nothing exciting about that for anybody – unless there’s some prejudice or aspiration to discriminate or eve hate – things quite excitedly practised by some humans who have a propensity to what could be called bias.

That’s a reason I no longer blog on what is known as London Canals…. enuf said!

    Greatly appreciate your enlightening work
Grove Rd power station, recalled well: actually owned by Central Electricity Supply Co, not METESCO. Both used Peachey & Reilly, architects, hence the misunderstanding?
