I usually spot Charlotte Campbell by the London Eye, although on this particular occasion she was by the Jubilee bridges and this is the first time I have seen her there (although she does perform there regularly) I suppose its because of the time of day or my inability to co-ordinate things properly.
Today was the occasion of Sgt Pepper’s 50th Anniversary**. There were quite a few people about at Abbey Road though not quite as busy as at the weekends.
A band with a difference! This 13 piece saxaphone band hail from the Canton of Thun in Switzerland. Some of you will know the pretty lake of that name – Interlaken, the gateway to the Bernese Oberland at one end, and the very pretty town of Spiez at the other – the whole lake overlooked by the summits of the Niederhorn and Niesen.
Jerry with his colleagues by Waterstones in Trafalgar Square.
Jerry is a specialist session drummer, whose job is creating drum sounds and tempos. Occasionally he can be found on the busking circuit along with his mates, and they make a great band. No vocals, just live, pure jam session music.
This is a post detailing a photograph I took of The Hod on 21st March 2017.
These were taken just before they played one of their regular Trafalgar Square gigs. I took the picture with my EF-S10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM. It was 18.10pm and the light quality was quite poor when I took these pictures.
Tommy & Mary at Debenhams, Oxford Street 18 March 2017
‘Twas getting quite dark for pics – had to manage the best I could with my ancient digital camera!
The Stones iconic image taken at Marble Arch in June 1963. The photographs were taken presumably as publicity material for their new single ‘Come On’ and the tweet below confirms it.
